The ancient science of yoga has a holistic approach to fitness & health. In Omkar yoga studio, we work on all the aspects of one’s existence from body consciousness to mental awareness & soul nourishment-Body, Mind & Spirit altogether.

The numerous contemporary physical exercises also aim at maintaining and improving health just like yoga. While the physical exercises focus on developing muscles, physical strength & endurance by rapid movements causing fatigue, stiffness and injury.In yogic system the movements are slow with proper breathing and emphasizes on flexibility of the spinal column and joints.

Our 75 min group classes & 60 min Private sessions includes an energizing yoga sequence which helps in channelizing the energy, balancing & restoring the life force (prana) , regaining the power of body & mind and helps in reducing stress. Yoga postures are done primarily by releasing the unnecessary tension in the body, Spine lengthening & initial muscle stretch, holding the posture and finally relaxing deeply in the posture with synchronized breathing.

The Year 2017 marked a new beginning in my life when i took an intensive 8-weeks Yoga Teachers Training Program at the Sivananda Ashram Grass Valley and there after envisioned this dream together of creating a pathway to preach authentic classical yogic knowledge – Omkar Yoga Studio.

Our teachings are based purely on the classical yoga sutras Eight-limbed path{Ashtanga Yoga): A safe and step by step approach to reach the goal of self-realization.
